Here I Am!
Well hello there. If you've followed me over here from Area Voices, thank you very much!
This week has been quite an experience. Finally, I pulled the trigger and got my own website. The good folks at Godaddy.com were awfully helpful and I was able to get up and running without dedicating all my working hours to the project. So. Here we go.
Ok, I'll say it again, I'm not naturally organized. Sometimes I learn about things from books that I think are great to pass on to my clients, but, well, I don't always apply these wonderful things to my own life. Because it doesn't seem to occur to me. Weird, I know.
When I'm working with someone in their office I always, always, always, encourage them to do a daily wrap up. It's easy, tidy up your work area and check your calendar for the next day. Make any necessary notes for "to dos". Turn off the light, go home, come back in the morning to a workspace prepared for a running start. Fantastic!
While I have thought it would be a good thing to do myself, I don't seem to think of it when I'm running out the door to the next thing. I confess this with a vow to do better. I will do a daily wrap up in my office, EVERY DAY. Starting today. Really. I will.
Life with a spanky clean desk in the morning is bliss.
