Holiday Closet

Last night my nephew stayed with us and helped me get our Christmas tree out of the basement and into the dining room.  Because I insist on draping it with enough lights to blind I refuse to take it apart.  At the end of the Christmas season I wrap it in a sheet and drag it downstairs hoping for the best.  It was nice to have help getting it up.

Anyway.

This year I added  8 new ornaments to the tree.  A couple were from trips, the rest I picked up here and there because they said something about our household.

Anyway.  Dang ADD.

It was a nice evening spent futzing with Christmas decorations, putting away the fall pumpkins, hanging the wreaths, etc.  It was only this morning as I was warming my fingers on my overly lit tree that I realized just how easy it was.  There was no stress because I was able to go right to my holiday decorations in the holiday closet, I know where everything is!

That's the best thing about being organized, not stressing because you can find exactly what you're looking for on the first try.  It's all right in front of you.  Guess who's in control?  You are.

Pretty sweet, huh?

Bliss is a happy start to Happy Holidays.

Tricky Duck Tip:  Label your holiday bins on all sides so you are sure to know what the contents are.
