Facing The Music
Technology is great, it's my friend. I have my share of electronic gadgets and I LOVE them all. A particular favorite is my iPod. Jeez, I love that thing. It's a little Nano and is my companion on my varied and assorted car rides. Way better than talk radio.
As amazing as it is to transfer new music from iTunes to my player, it's even cooler to tranfer my old music. My husband and I have both held on to our albums, we even have a turntable. His ipod docking station sits right on top of it. Anyway, I spent a considerable amount of time this week transferring music from albums to iTunes. It's easy, the turntable is constructed for this exact purpose and came with a very user friendly little program. The only hard part is it takes a lot of time, you have to actually play the album to get the music transferred. Then you can ditch the albums. Think of all the shelf space!
The real payoff for all this time? Decades of your favorite music on one little device. Thanks to the magic of docking stations you can stick your little player in your pocket and pop it into a docking station literally anywhere and enjoy your favorite tunes.
Do you suppose the technology exists to convert cassette tapes and 8 tracks?
Life with a fully loaded iPod is bliss.
Tricky Duck Tip: Consign albums you've converted to digital for a little extra cash.
